Earthdance with PGP

Earthdance International has connected people from all over the world for 29 years through music, dance, and other shared rituals, with the purpose of promoting peace, connection, and consciousness. The theme of 2026, “The Heart & Beat of Humanity”, celebrates our shared human Rhythm and helps us remember that peace starts from the individual, but grows through connection, and gets even stronger when we all move as one. Join us and experience the power of worldwide connection. https://www.earthdance.org This may sound a bit "airy fairy", but it ain't as "fantasized" as it sounds like! This year, Earthdance Utrecht is being organised by Psychedelic Grateful Punks, a small underground collective that has been part of the underground psychedelic scene since the mid 2000's. Before the squatting ban, they partied in squat properties every weekend, or they dragged a generator into the woods and happily stomped through the night. Respect, a sense of community, and the do-it-yourself mentality back then created a pleasant, self-reliant community from which they learned a great deal. Now, many years later, Psychedelic Grateful Punks (PGP) has been founded. Lovingly supported by "the old generation" and with a continuously growing new community, they awaken the spirit once more. In new ways with a few nods to the past. Earthdance in the past was organised much more in the Netherlands, through for example Trance Orient Express (Ruigoord), Namaste (Danzigerbocht) and the Trance Buddha Bar, but sadly after 2012 it hasn't been organised on a large scale anymore. Time for an Earthdance in Utrecht!! At Earthdance, you don’t just dance for peace; your ticket and drink purchases also support a good cause. PGP has chosen to support the LHBT Asylum Support Foundation (Stichting LHBT Asylum Support), to which half of the profits will be donated. Arrive on time, because 01:00 is the official moment (in our time zone) when Earthdance parties take place simultaneously around the world and thousands of people join the Global Synchronized Prayer for Peace. Respect, gemeenschapsgevoel en de doe-het-zelf-mentaliteit zorgden toen voor een fijne en zelfredzame community waar ze veel van leerden. Nu, vele jaren later, is Psychedelic Grateful Punks (PGP) ontstaan. Liefdevol gesteund door ‘de ouwe generatie’ en met een steeds groter groeiende nieuwe community wakkeren zij de spirit weer aan, in een nieuwe vorm met wat knipoogjes naar het verleden. Earthdance werd vroeger vaker in Nederland gehost, onder andere door Trance Orient Express (Ruigoord), Namaste (Danzigerbocht) en de Trance Buddha Bar, maar is na 2012 niet meer grootschalig georganiseerd. Tijd voor een Earthdance Utrecht dus! Met Earthdance dans je niet alleen voor vrede, je steunt met je ticket en drankjes ook een goed doel. PGP heeft gekozen voor Stichting LHBT Asylum Support, waar de helft van de winst aan zal worden gedoneerd.
