Es hätte ein kalter Wintertag oder eine warme Sommernacht in Finnland sein können – irgendwann um das Jahr 2010. Jemand hatte die Idee, Bluegrass, finnische Folkmusik und Rock/Metal zu kombinieren. Das Ergebnis war und ist seitdem **Steve ’n’ Seagulls** – die Band, von der du nicht wusstest, dass du sie vermisst hast, von der du aber weißt, dass du sie unbedingt wieder hören willst. Aus Finnland im Norden Europas stammend, ist diese gut gelaunte Truppe heute schneller und kraftvoller unterwegs als je zuvor.
Kurz gesagt: 2014 drehte die Band drei Live-Musikvideos auf ihrem Bauernhof. Das zweite davon – ihre frische Interpretation des AC/DC-Klassikers „Thunderstruck“ – ging viral und eroberte das Internet im Sturm. Plötzlich tourte dieser Möwenschwarm um die ganze Welt, nahm ein Album auf und spielte mehr Shows als je zuvor.
Seit 2014 haben Steve ’n’ Seagulls vier Studioalben veröffentlicht. Ihr Debütalbum *Farm Machine* (2015) brachte die Band für 170 Konzerte durch Europa und Nordamerika auf Tour. Dabei begeisterten sie ihr Publikum – von kleinen Clubs bis hin zu einigen der größten Festivals Europas – und sorgten überall für gute Laune.
Im Jahr 2025 erblickt schließlich das lang erwartete fünfte Album von Steve ’n’ Seagulls das Licht der Welt: *The Dark Side of the Moo!*
Gemeinsam mit dem gleichen Team wie beim Vorgänger aufgenommen und produziert, sprengen Steve ’n’ Seagulls erneut die Grenzen von Progressive Bluegrass und Newgrass. Das Album vereint Elemente aus Genres, die auf den ersten Blick kaum zusammenpassen – und doch begegnen sie sich wie alte Freunde und gehen eine erstaunlich harmonische Verbindung ein. Eigenkompositionen der Band und neu interpretierte Klassiker ergeben eine weitere spannende musikalische Mischung, die auf der *The Dark Side of the Moo*-Tour 2025 durch Europa serviert wird.

It could've been a cold winter day or warm summer night in Finland - but it was around the year 2010. Someone came up with an idea to combine bluegrass, Finnish folk and rock/metal music. The outcome was and has since been Steve'n'Seagulls. The band you didn't know you missed but you do know you want to hear again. Hailing from Finland in Northern Europe - this jolly bunch is riding harder and faster than ever.
To put it short: in 2014 the band filmed three live music videos back at the farm. The second one, their new and fresh take on AC/DC classic Thunderstruck took the internet by storm. Suddenly this flock of seagulls found themselves touring around the world, recording an album and touring harder than ever.
Since 2014 Steve'n'Seagulls have recorded four studio albums. The debut album Farm Machine (2015) took the band on the road for 170 shows in Europe and North America.
